Within the first day, I was shown six rooms, and all were in poor shape: mould, no heating, missing basics like shower curtains, poor or missing lighting, draughts from what seemed to be badly sealed windows, and water stains on the walls. The corridors were visibly dirty too, with crumbs, discarded cups, and stains. The hallways and stairs had a strong smell of weed, which made us very uncomfortable, as it seemed guests could smoke drugs on the property. People shouted in the corridors between 2:00 am and 3:30 am, and there was noise from the car park, so resting was difficult. Calls to customer service went to an overseas call centre where communication was poor and staff often avoided speaking English. This was an extremely disappointing stay in a badly maintained hotel that did not provide a comfortable, safe, or acceptable experience. I reported the case to booking.com. Booking reference number: 5952967873. The owner's response asked for a specific review or context, even though I'd detailed the problems above. I replied that they should read the review and comments carefully.

The bathroom had no toilet paper, and with no phone in the room I had to go all the way down to reception for supplies while travelling alone. The shower water ran for about five seconds, stopped for ten, then came back unpredictably, so even getting a decent shower was pointless. My room was freezing because the radiators did not work. When I told staff, they just asked if I had tried turning the knob and did not come to check, leaving me in a cold room all night. There was no room phone, and the number provided reached a generic customer care line unrelated to the hotel, so every issue meant walking down the stairs to speak to someone. With my room on the top floor, I also had to haul my heavy luggage up multiple flights because there were no elevators. Having stayed in countless hotels across several countries, this was by far the worst experience of my life and the worst hotel I've encountered. I'd tell everyone to stay away.

We arrived after our flight landed at 22:30, and at 01:30 we were still trying to work out what to do because every other hotel was fully booked. There was broken glass on the floor, and when we entered our room, random people were inside. They moved us to another room, but its key would not go into the door even though it was clearly locked, and the door was coming out of its frame. The place smelled of acetone and body odour, with cracked, flaking walls, dust, and spiders crawling around. There was no pool or spa. A man hidden in a bush was shouting words we couldn't make out. It did not feel safe, and this place should be shut down immediately. The new girl at reception was lovely and trying her best, but she was working the night shift alone and I felt management was taking advantage of her. If I could give this dive zero stars, I would. Do not stay here.

The room was warm and had a large bed, which is where its one star comes from. Everything else was dirty: dust and cobwebs, marks and hairs on the bedding, a dirty bath, and it didn't look like the floor had been vacuumed. For two people there was just one towel, one glass at the coffee station, no spoons, and no bin in either the room or bathroom. We were also charged £15 for one night's parking, which had not been mentioned when booking. I wouldn't mind a small fee, but that felt like a lot. The advertised restaurant and bar weren't there, and reception had no suggestions for where to eat, only that there was nowhere at the hotel. Thank goodness we were staying just one night. I've stayed in plenty of budget hotels and don't expect perfection, but this was the worst one I've been in, and I've stayed in nicer hostels. Put that extra £15 towards somewhere else.
