Coach & Horses

I didn’t stay overnight, so my three-star rating isn’t a reflection on the accommodation. I’d like to stay in future. The pub is easy to find, less than a 10-minute walk from the local motel, and has a good car park, a beer garden and plenty of indoor dining space. There’s a good choice of beers on tap and a great menu.

Stopped for dinner with my two teenage boys. There are good main course options, and the portions are very generous. It’s close to the southbound services on the A34, so it works well as a stopover near Winchester.

The meal last night was great, and I liked being able to choose the size of it. I spent two nights at The Coach and Horses, and my room was really comfortable. The landlord and staff were fantastic, welcoming and friendly. Great pub!

The food was made to order and very filling. Three of us had homemade pies, one Beef and Guinness and two chicken, ham and leek, while my daughter-in-law chose linguini. Everything was amazing, though fresh food takes time, so don’t expect a quick meal. It was definitely worth waiting for. The staff were very welcoming, and we’ll visit again.
