The Fox

The village of Crawley, just outside of Winchester, is lovely, and this place has a great vibe. My room was upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. It was beautiful and very spacious, and the breakfast was great. They cater for vegans too. Good value for money, with very friendly service. Amazing place to stay!

The breakfast is superb, cooked and served just right, with none of that buffet breakfast malarkey. The ingredients are top quality, as are the staff, and more expensive places could take a lesson from them. It's a clean establishment, too, and incredible value for money. I'd happily recommend dinner as well. If you're nearby, don't waste time and money staying anywhere else.

The starters and mains were amazing, and the food was absolutely exceptional. Service was even better: the young lady serving us was so polite, answered all our questions, handled every request, kept topping up the drinks and made sure we had everything. Staff even had candles ready for my little boy's birthday. Food 10/10, staff 10/10. The place felt old-fashioned in a good way and had a great vibe. We'll definitely be back. The one downside was the dessert menu. It was all very fancy, and a brownie, cake or cheesecake would have been welcome. It put all eight of us off ordering dessert.

On 10th Dec, three friends and I had dinner here, and we all agreed the duck was probably the best we'd ever had. Huge compliments to the chef. The staff were lovely, and they and the kitchen were really helpful with our table. It never disappoints. Thanks for such a lovely evening.
