The rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel’s location couldn’t have been better for the sights, shops, and restaurants. The long-stay car park is a 4-5 minute walk away, free on Sundays, and has no overnight charge. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was lovely. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and smiling. Faultless, and I’d highly recommend it.

The hotel is smart, with fresh, clean, spacious rooms across four floors. There are lifts as well as stairs. It’s good value and right in the town centre, within walking distance of the train station, with plenty of paid parking nearby. Definitely a thumbs up.

The location is great, and the room seemed fairly clean until I looked around the bath. They charge nearly £170 a room, yet can’t replace a disgusting shower curtain. It feels like the profits aren’t being spent where they should be. Do better, Travelodge.

The front desk team were especially helpful, and Dhawa Lama gave me great local recommendations. Everyone greeted me warmly each morning, and my room was spotless. I had a comfortable, lovely stay and would happily come again.

The location is good, but I won’t be going back. It’s a Yravelodge, so expectations have to be adjusted, but there was months’ worth of dust in the corners by the skirting boards, and the bathroom door handle was coming off because it hadn’t been installed properly. There wasn’t a plug for the bath. Someone helpfully went to get one, but unfortunately it was the wrong size. That pretty much sums up the visit: good intentions, poorly carried out.
