Michelle and Bernard were friendly, chatty and knew the local area well, which added a lot to our stay. The guest house was immaculate and spotlessly clean. We arrived early, and they kindly let us check in straight away. It's a great location, a short walk to the main road and the lake. We found parking on a nearby street without any trouble. We had a wonderful two nights at Bowness Guest House and will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

Room 1 was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Michelle was lovely and checked in to see that everything was okay. Restaurants, cafes and bars are just a few minutes' walk away, and the lake is close too. I'd definitely recommend it.

The owners did a lot to make our stay comfortable. It was a heatwave, so when we arrived they gave us cold water and a fan, then brought more cold water the next day. They also shared plenty of useful tips for places to visit around the lakes and where to eat and drink. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location is great, close to busy Bowness but on a quiet road. Parking was nearby and easy to find. Best place to stay in Bowness, in my view. The owners are lovely and do their best to accommodate you. Can't wait to come back.

Our group had told the hosts it was my partner's birthday, and they helped us pull off the surprise. They were very pleasant and accommodating about it. They also recommended local places to eat and visit. We got home from a weekend in the Lakes after staying at Bowness Guest House, and really enjoyed it. The accommodation was spotless and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. The location is convenient, about a 5-10 minute walk to the centre. Thank you both!

The room was just right for the two of us and spotless, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. We stayed for a quick three-day break, and it's only a short 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants, pubs, shops and lake. We'd definitely book here again if we visit the area. Highly recommended 👍
