As a solo traveller, I found this a great place to stay, and it wasn’t far from the railway station. The king-size bed and sofa made the room comfortable, and it felt like good value. I appreciated the fresh milk packets for coffee, which other places don’t usually provide. Check-in uses codes, so there are no keys to carry, but you do need to remember the code or keep it written down to avoid locking yourself out. The scanners can be fussy. Oddly, I found my left palm worked better than my right. The arrangement with Choice gym and spa is brilliant. I could drive there, or, as a pedestrian, take the 555 from the station to the bridge. The spa has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. This was the best trip I’ve ever taken, and I’d certainly consider Glen Wynne if I come back.

Windermere itself is lovely, and Glenn Wynn was amazing. My single room was great, clean and tidy, and the property is close to the centre. There’s no reception or staff on site, but Nick and the whole team are ready to help when needed. Looking forward to coming back soon.

The team gave good service, and the location worked well, near the shops and restaurants and only a short walk from the lakeside. I stayed for two nights; the room was clean and quiet. Looking forward to returning 👍

A lovely place to stay, with a great room at an affordable price. I’d definitely choose it again if I return to the Lake District.
