The cottage is in the middle of Windermere, handy for the town’s bars and restaurants. Cafe Italia is only about 20 yards away and is a good option. Bowness lakeside is a pleasant ten-minute walk. Beautiful place to stay, and I’d definitely return.

We slept really comfortably, and the bedding was nice too. Granary nook cottage felt like a home from home, with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything needed to cook a full meal, plus lovely-looking outdoor space. The location is great, right in central Windermere, with Bowness just a short walk or bus ride away. We couldn’t fault our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone.

The courtyard was lovely, and the place felt comfortable and homely, so we settled in quickly. It’s right in central Windermere but still quiet, with great cafes and restaurants nearby. There are also all the facilities and utensils you need to cook and enjoy a relaxing evening in. The shower curtain was missing when we arrived, but it was put right very quickly. We had a great time and loved Granary Nook. There’s lots to do right nearby, and the short walk up Orrest Head is well worth it.

We had a cosy, warm stay with lovely bedding and towels. The host recommended walks starting right from the doorstep, and we tried them and really enjoyed them. Windermere village was right there, with lots of places to eat and drink, and we walked to Bowness too. We didn't need the car once all weekend.

The secure courtyard was great for our dog, and the cottage had plenty of room for the four of us, two adults and our two grown-up children. It was stocked with the bedding, utensils, and other things we'd need. Shops, bars, and restaurants in Windermere are close by, and the bus stop for Bowness is a two-minute walk away. This was our first time booking a cottage for a short break, and after such a good stay, it won't be our last.
