For my first solo trip, I couldn't have picked a better place than Adam Place Guest House. Linda and Chris were welcoming and checked in with me each morning. I loved the vegetarian breakfast, especially the veggie sausages. It's a great location, about a 10-minute walk to the train station and roughly 20 minutes to the lake, with the chance to explore town along the way. Adam Place Guest House is a good, cost-effective base for seeing the beautiful Lake District.

Linda gave us goodbye hugs and waved from the porch as we drove away. My daughter and I had a lovely stay with her and Chris, with great hospitality, nice conversations, a clean and welcoming room, and a tasty breakfast. The guest house is in a quiet spot but still central to everything. If we come back to the Lakes District, we'll definitely stay here again.

Linda and Glen (the boss) welcomed me and showed me to my room. It was spacious, with a comfy bed, warm shower and toiletries. A lot of Freeview channels were missing, so I watched my favourite things on my phone using the WiFi. Breakfast was tasty. Glen The Boss was lying in the back yard doorway when I saw him again, and I had a lovely chat with Linda and Chris about pets.

We stayed three nights and felt right at home with Linda and Chris. The breakfast was amazing, and the location is quiet with easy access to Bowness. Linda stood by the door to wave us goodbye and gave us farewell hugs. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Windermere. Best of luck, Linda and Chris.

The room had one double bed and one single, with plenty of space for the three of us, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and Linda and Glen were both so welcoming. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the town centre, with lots of good food and ice cream shops. There's also a play park nearby, and World of Beatrix Potter and Bowness Pier are a 15-20 minute walk downhill, where you can take boat cruises. We had a lovely stay and will have to come back soon.
