The decking balcony area outside our room was a real favourite, and breakfast was relaxed and unhurried, a lovely start to the day. We had a fantastic stay at Glencree on 2nd Jan. The room had everything we could need, and the location made it easy to walk up to Windermere or down to Bowness. Highly recommend it. We can’t wait to come back.

Ian was a brilliant host and was happy to help with anything. Our room was immaculate, and breakfast was tasty with a good-sized portion. The place is right between Bowness and Windermere. We had a superb stay and will definitely visit again.

We stayed in the room with a hot tub looking out over the stream and forest, and even spotted an owl while we were soaking. Breakfast and service were excellent, and the price was very reasonable. The host was lovely, quick to reply and very helpful. Our room was spotless, with lots of thoughtful comforts: quality tea and coffee, a mini fridge, nice toiletries and a comfortable bed with clean, cozy bedding. It’s also handy for the lake, just a short walk to Lake Windermere. We’ll definitely be back.

Ian made sure we were comfortable throughout and was especially helpful and welcoming. The room was spotless and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end and will definitely return.

Breakfast was nicely prepared, and the owner was warm and friendly. I stayed with friends, and our room, number 6, was cozy and clean with a lovely view from the window. Checking ourselves in and out was super easy and smooth. Thanks for giving our Lake District trip such a great start.
