Haisthorpe House

We stayed for a couple of nights after our wedding in Gretna, and would gladly come back. The room was spotless and very well appointed, and breakfast was just perfect. Our hosts were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I'd definitely recommend it.

My mum and I spent three lovely nights at this guest house. It's about a 10-minute walk from Windermere station, and our room was impeccably clean. Cathy and Tom were friendly and very helpful throughout, making sure we were comfortable. Don't miss the breakfast, especially the natural yogurt. I'd highly recommend staying here in Windermere.

Tim and Catherine were fantastic hosts, and the hospitality was 100%. After a long day outdoors, it was nice to have Netflix or Prime to wind down with. My room was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Thank you ☺️

Haisthorpe House is right in the heart of Windermere, with a neat little front patio full of pretty flowers and plants. I had one of the most enjoyable B&B stays in all my years visiting the Lake District. It was my first time staying in a B&B with a partner after a lifetime of being single, and Cathy and Tim's kindness made me feel comfortable and happy in a whole new way in the Lakes. Our room was just right, decorated in light colours with plenty of plug sockets, a sparkling clean and surprisingly roomy bathroom, and a fabulous bed. Breakfast had lots of good-quality food and drink, and Cathy and Tim worked around both my dietary needs and my partner's different waking time. We also appreciated having a fridge available for guests. Their outing advice was invaluable. We had a glorious day at the Lakes Aquarium, travelling by boat and fitting in a steam train ride too. Thank you, Cathy and Tim, for making Marty and me feel so relaxed and cared for, and for helping me share the Lake District with my beloved partner. I'd heartily recommend Haisthorpe House for a high-quality stay at amazing value in beautiful Windermere.
