We had lovely mountain and lake views, and the apartment was just right for our short family break. It was warm, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. It also made a good base for getting to the popular places in the Lakes and places to eat. My wife booked it, and we were very pleased with the stay. We’d consider renting it again, perhaps in autumn. Finding 40a took a bit of checking: when you reach the green and white buildings, look at the number boards at the bottom of each stairwell. It’s beside the Xmas shop.

Everything we needed was in this lovely apartment, just a short walk from Bowness shops and bars. We’ll definitely be back next year.
