The Fox At Barrington

Such a beautiful place, and we loved our stay. The staff were really friendly, our room was spotless and lovely, and breakfast was a nice continental spread. We had an outside booking, so we didn’t eat in the restaurant, but the dishes we saw being brought out looked incredible. We only stayed one night and wish it had been longer. We can’t wait to come back!

There’s a great choice of beers here, and the staff looked after us very well. The food was delicious and nicely prepared, and the clean, tidy surroundings made for a pleasant atmosphere. A really good meal out.

We stopped by while driving through the area. The pub has a great spot by the river, with plenty of outdoor seating that should be lovely in summer. We didn’t eat, though the menu and food looked tasty. The bar felt a little chilly. There’s just one door in from outside, but it may have been because we sat near it, even with the log burner going in the corner. I’m looking forward to coming back in spring.

We often come here after walking around Sherborne Park. On Saturdays it’s more relaxed and you can usually get a table without booking. Sundays are always busy, so I’d book ahead. The team are friendly and helpful, and the service is good. The food is consistently good too, usually pizza for us on Saturday and a roast on Sunday. It’s a beautiful pub with gardens, and dogs are welcome. There’s outdoor seating beside the stream, including a covered section, plus a bar and a separate dining room. Parking is available out front and in a larger area around the corner. Highly recommend a visit.
