Innkeeper's Collection Old Windsor

We tried the taster menu at the restaurant/bar and loved it. We’ll be having it again. The rooms are laid out well, clean, and in good working order, with a roomy bathroom and a super hot shower. The beds are comfortable, on the firm side. Staff were very helpful when we booked after the website was migrating, and again at check-in. Online check-in is available, and checking out was simple online too. I’d like a magnifying mirror above the room table. Women shouldn’t have to stand in a steamy bathroom to put on makeup, and hotel rooms are always designed for men. That needs to change.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast is worth every penny. We’d heard rave reviews, and it lived up to our expectations. Book early, especially on Sunday, as it fills up fast.

The room was beautifully presented, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with great facilities, and we had a really good night’s sleep. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and top notch. It’s easily the best buffet breakfast we’ve had at a UK hotel, and even the coffee was delicious. We couldn’t fault anything and would happily stay here, or at another Toby Carvery. Definitely recommend it.

The room was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is good for Windsor. The only small issue was how warm the cooked breakfast was. We arrived just after 8am on the first morning, and as we like our food really warm, it was just about okay. The next morning we ate 40/45 minutes later, and it wasn’t nearly warm enough. Halfway through, it was cold. I know keeping self-service food hot without spoiling it can be difficult, but it could have been a lot warmer.
