OYO Vale Lodge

There was no soap in the shower or by the washbasin, though luckily I had some of my own. The receptionist seemed put out when I asked him to fill the kettle and told me to use the bathroom tap because the water was fine. I tried to explain that the sink was too small to fit the kettle under it. He also seemed annoyed when I reported that the TV wasn’t working, but did come and fix it. There was just one toilet roll in the shared bathroom, and it was gone by morning, leaving none. I was also asked to pay in cash without having been told beforehand, but I didn’t have enough and used a card instead. Would I stay at OYO again? Probably not, because of how this one is run. Maybe the others are better.

Very clean, with friendly staff and a spacious room and bathroom. It’s really close to LEGOLAND, and KFC, CO-OP, PIZZA HUT, COSTA COFFEE, and DOMINO'S are only a few minutes away. Thank you, I’ll recommend it.

We called ahead to say we’d arrive late, around 9pm, and were told that was fine. When we got there, the person at “reception” was really angry. My husband and I didn’t say anything because we had a flight in the morning. The shower doors were broken, there was only one towel for two people, and the hotel wasn’t clean. I’ll leave it there and put up some pictures.

I was looking for a place to rent in the area and stayed here for several weeks. The room was very clean and tidy, with an en suite shower and toilet, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Windsor Castle is a short walk away if you take the alley and cross the park. I’ll definitely stay again, and I’ve already recommended it to all my friends.
