Moorland View Farm B&B

The scenery around Moorland View Farm is stunning, and we’re already thinking of coming back for a walking weekend. This time we were there for Alton Towers, only a ten minute drive away. We had two double rooms, both spotless and equipped for a warm, comfortable, relaxing stay. Our bed was really comfy and the room temperature was just right. A cockerel woke us, though apparently he wasn’t much for sunrise, so we still got an unusually lovely lie in! Louise was welcoming, friendly and helpful, and you can tell how much work she puts into the accommodation. Breakfast was superb and kept us going for the day. We only wish we’d booked an extra night, since the three and a half hour drive home after a tiring day wasn’t much fun. Thanks for a lovely stay, we look forward to seeing you again.

It’s a quiet place to stay, with Alton Towers just a short drive away. My room was spacious and comfortable, a good spot to unwind after a busy day. Louise was friendly and made sure everything was right. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend it to anyone after a calm, cosy base near plenty to do.

Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit, cereal and pastries, then a full English with toast, tea and coffee. We arrived around 20:30 in the dark after a busy day at Alton Towers, and the owner greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. It was spotless, comfortable and had everything we could ask for. This was our first bed and breakfast stay, and Moorland View Farm has set a high standard. It’ll be hard to beat. Highly recommended!

Louise was lovely and made us an amazing breakfast. The place felt very homely, and she’d even decorated the room for my birthday, which was so thoughtful. It was spotless too, and perfectly placed for visiting the Peak District, with Leek only a ten minute drive away. We’d definitely recommend it and stay again.
