Wiveliscombe makes a handy base for visiting lots of interesting places, and I can see us coming back. We loved staying here. The building is quirky, but everything inside is high quality and clearly chosen with guest comfort in mind. Parking was easy, with a dedicated space. If you play Ingress/Pokemon, the building itself is a portal, with others within reach too, about two to four depending on a bit of friendly GPS drift.

We booked a last-minute weekend with our niece and nephew, aged 9 and 6, and they were having fun from the moment we arrived. There’s so much history and “treasure” to enjoy. It was a great weekend, we felt very welcome, and we’d come again.

A fabulous place. The one thing that could improve it would be a comfy armchair downstairs, along with a TV, for guests with mobility issues.

A great place to stay. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Somerset, Wiveliscombe, Taunton or nearby.
