The Crown hotel

Joshua, you made our stay worthwhile. The hotel manager showed us to our rooms, explained everything and assured us help was available 24 hours. Ella served breakfast with such a gentle, polite manner. The breakfast was the best quality we've ever had, and the salmon rosed was a special touch. Our only regret is not trying dinner there. We'll be back soon!

The location is excellent, right in the town centre, with plenty of off-road parking and the railway station just a five-minute walk away. We loved Woodbridge and the surrounding area too, with Sutton Hoo just over the river. The Tide Mill, a lovely working museum, is also five minutes from the hotel, as the last photo shows. We had a superb four-night break at The Crown in Woodbridge. Every staff member was welcoming and helpful, and the room, food and bar were all great.

The staff were great, and the town is lovely to wander around. I’d recommend the river walk, too. The hotel itself was nice and we had a good stay, though it felt a little expensive for what it was. Remember to register your car in the car park.

The breakfast was a highlight. I had scrambled egg on sourdough with smoked salmon, and there was so much salmon that the menu description really undersold it. We only ate breakfast there, though the other dishes I saw looked lovely too. Our room was warm, cosy and comfortable, and despite overlooking the High Street and the back of the pub, we didn’t hear a sound at night or at any other time. We were welcomed warmly, there was plenty of free parking, and we had a lovely stay over the weekend of 23/24 January. We’ll definitely be back.
