We went for a family meal at this lovely pub, in a fantastic spot near Blenheim Palace. Service was exceptional, and we were pleased with the meal overall. Four of us had nicely cooked fillet steak, while one had pizza. The soft drinks came in tiny bottles. Two of us had dessert, Christmas pudding and chocolate tort. They were underwhelming. My son thought his tort might have been microwaved, which would be a little cheeky at £10 if that was the case. The total for five of us was £200.

The live music was good, and so was the food. The warm chocolate torte is in the picture. This time, though, the team seemed very young and were mucking about at the end of the bar while I waited to be served. Thanks!

We went for supper early on a Tuesday evening. The Bar/Restaurant is bright, but still has that old-world feel. The food and service were excellent, and our waiter was such a bundle of energy. I’d highly recommend The Crown, Woodstock.

There’s a fire, plenty of character and a bright feel, along with good food, especially Sunday lunch, and good beer. I love the proper old-style beer glasses too, surprisingly important! This pub is always welcoming, and Matt & Isla were really helpful the last time I visited. The whole team has always been hospitable.

The location is wonderful, and the cafe has a lovely atmosphere, though it was a bit overcrowded. Starters and mains were really good, but the desserts were overpriced and not very good. Table service was very mediocre and extremely slow. The bill included a hefty service charge, which bothered me because I didn’t think it was justified. This review is for the cafe/restaurant.
