Yew Tree House

Pauline’s thoughtful extras made our stay even nicer, with a stocked fridge, fresh flowers, and useful brochures and menus. We can’t recommend Yew Tree House enough. We were visiting from the US and found it a great base for everything we wanted to see, whether by car, bus or driving. The village was so convenient and enjoyable, just a one block walk away. Our accommodation and its location couldn’t have been lovelier, and the suite had plenty of space in the kitchen, bathroom and sitting area.

I’ve just got home after a fabulous stay at Yew Tree House. The Garden Suite, where I stayed, and The Balcony Suite, where our friends stayed, were both luxurious, beautifully decorated and furnished. A real treat. Pauline welcomed me on arrival and was so lovely. She made sure everything was right for our stay. With private parking just outside and the centre of Woodstock so close, it’s a great spot for exploring the area. I’d highly recommend it.

My daughter and I will be back in 2025 after two nights here (11-13th Dec). The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in away from home, and the whole house felt exceptional, spotless, and finished with perfect decor and little touches. I especially liked that each apartment had its own style. Pauline gave us a really warm welcome, showed us around and shared interesting details about Woodstock and the house. She also suggested places to eat. She and her partner, David, have clearly put a lot of hard work into the renovation, and it shows. The balcony apartment had everything we needed in the kitchen, including utensils, toaster, hob and microwave, plus complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels in the bathroom. The living room was cosy and well equipped. Pauline and David have made the house something special, and their care and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed.

We stayed over Easter as two couples, with one pair in The Garden Room and the other in The Balcony Room. The beautifully renovated house is divided into four luxury apartments, all finished to an extremely high standard, with everything you need and exceptional finishing touches from the owners. Private parking was an added bonus, something I haven’t had at other Woodstock stays. The centre is only a very short walk away, with a great choice of bars, restaurants and cafes, and Blenheim Palace is a few minutes away. Oxford is a short drive, and there are lots of pretty villages to explore at your leisure, so there’s a huge amount nearby. For a touch of luxury on your next Woodstock stay, I’d look no further than one of Yew Tree House’s apartments. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We’ll most definitely be back!
