Pantile Lodge

A drink and cake on arrival were a lovely surprise, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was very large, private-feeling and clean, with a comfortable bed, a good-sized bathroom and a great shower. It’s perfect for an overnight stop, though we’ll definitely consider a longer break next time we’re in the area. Thoroughly recommend.

Breakfast was a real highlight: freshly cooked, hot and delicious, with such friendly staff. The two rooms sit behind the cafe, with a small garden that catches the sun if you have time to sit outside. Our room was on the small side but lovely, very clean and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. There was tea, coffee and biscuits, plenty of storage, and it gets so dark at night that a good sleep is easy. There’s a pub down the road, and the village is quiet. A cracking place to stay, my idea of heaven. If we’re back this way, we’ll look at staying here again.

Breakfast is freshly cooked and there’s a great choice, though the 9:00 start was the one drawback for us if you want an early start. The B&B is in a great spot for exploring, with Lindisfarne only 30mins away. Angela and her staff are lovely, and our fabulous room was clean and tidy with everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, shower, coffee maker and super welcome basket. You can use a small fridge, and there’s a garden to sit in too. A great place, and we’d stay again.

On our third stay now, and each visit has been better. Angela and Brian are perfect hosts, and the new breakfast menu is wonderful. We could happily have stayed a few more nights to try more of the food. The large, quiet room was spotless and had the usual tea and coffee plus crisps, nuts, flapjack and fruit drinks. Check out the crafts in the cafe, made by a local lass called Olive. The covid measures were thoughtfully planned and followed. A perfect getaway in a beautiful area.
