The hotel is stunning inside and out, and both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. I’ve stayed a few times, and it never disappoints. The spa is beautiful, the salt steam is incredible, and the massages are divine. I do a lot of spa days, and that was the best massage I’ve ever had. The women who work in the spa are so friendly and welcoming. They help you feel totally relaxed, and you leave feeling like a new person. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or a girls’ night or day.

The building and grounds are stunning, and our room was sleek, stylish and comfortable, with a lovely bath that made it feel special. The evening spa facilities were relaxing and well designed, and dinner was genuinely delicious. We were celebrating our three-year anniversary, a surprise from my boyfriend, and I’m still grateful for the time away together. The service didn’t match the setting. Our room phone didn’t work, so we had to go down to reception several times for help. The fire alarm went off in the evening, and we spent about 45 minutes outside in our dressing gowns. We understand these things can happen, but there was no real apology or acknowledgment of the disruption. It left us rushing to our dinner reservation, where we were told we couldn’t be late. Service in the spa and restaurant also felt slow. The hotel and its facilities are incredible, but the attentiveness wasn’t quite what we expected at this standard.

I bought a Rosè Champagne afternoon tea at this stunning hotel as a birthday gift for my friend. The dining room had a great atmosphere, the décor is finished to a high standard, and they allow dogs, which is a big plus. The food was delicious, no complaints there. Still, for what I paid, the tea didn’t feel worth it. We got one glass of Champagne and what I’d call a regular afternoon tea, so I expected a little more. I’d visit again, though, and try a spa day next.

We had lunch, dinner and breakfast, and every meal was amazing, with consistently excellent quality and presentation. The six of us stayed across three rooms. All the rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the hotel’s style is gorgeous, with every little corner and detail thoughtfully designed. We also had body massages. The treatments were lovely, and the spa itself feels luxurious, from the scents to the design. But it was so overcrowded that I had to sit on the floor at one point because there was nowhere else to sit. For the price of a one-night stay, it was really disappointing to have no place to relax after our treatments. We’re all busy women who came specifically to unwind, and unless you were in the water, the floor was the only option. It’s such a shame that the crowding let the visit down. It may stop me returning for a spa day, even though everything else about the hotel is beautiful.

We chose The Elms Hotel & Spa for an overnight break to celebrate our pregnancy, and it was just the relaxing getaway we wanted. From arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming and took great care of us. The hotel is beautiful, with rooms and décor finished to a high standard. Everything felt luxurious and thoughtfully done. The spa gave us exactly the chance to unwind we needed and made the stay feel special. It was a calming break we’ll remember, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone after a relaxing escape.
