Ardington Hotel

The decor is dated enough to bring Fawlty Towers to mind, and there’s even a poster in the lobby. The hotel is really close to the promenade, with free parking from 6pm until 9 am the next day. The beds are very comfortable, there’s a nice selection of treats in the room, and breakfast was absolutely wonderful.

We came for a family weekend and felt as if we were staying with family. Simon and the whole team gave us a wonderfully warm welcome, with genuine, old-school hospitality. Brilliant. Just book this one, and thank you, Terence.

We had a lovely afternoon celebrating our friend’s hen party, with our own playlist, crafts, and games. The food was delicious, and being able to decorate the room beforehand really helped. The staff looking after us were attentive and gave us fantastic service. We hired the Venetian room at the Ardington Hotel for the event and were impressed by both the venue and the service. Richard was professional and very helpful beforehand, responding quickly to questions and concerns and going out of his way to accommodate us. I’d absolutely recommend it for an afternoon hen party or a similar event. Thank you, Richard, Simon, and the team! Best wishes, Chris. P.S. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The reason I’m only giving three stars is that the rooms have been so inconsistent on my visits. One time I’ve had a tiny room but a nice bathroom; another time the bedroom was great, but the ensuite was so small, with a shower where I couldn’t even lift my legs to wash them.
