Brunswick & Thorn Apartments

I booked Tuesday to Thursday and got to the hotel at about 12:40 to pick up my keys. The woman at the desk said she'd get one, but after ten minutes I went back to ask what was happening. She then told me none of the rooms had been cleaned and I had to return at 3pm. We were already there to check in, so that meant another two or three hours lost from time we were paying for. When we asked questions, we got almost no information, just a blunt attitude. We came back at 3:30pm. I asked if our room was ready, and she just handed me a key without saying anything else. We had no room number or directions, and with eight to ten rooms to search, we had no idea where to go. While looking, we saw another man who seemed distressed. He'd also waited two or three hours and found his bed hadn't been freshly made. We complained too, since we'd been left to hunt for our room. The front gate worked, but we couldn't shut or lock the building's lower door. Our room door lock was broken and badly damaged, and barely locked, so there was almost no security. The room looked nice at first, but when we looked closer, it wasn't clean. After the extra wait, it seemed only the sheets had been changed. The fridge still had somebody else's food in it, including foil, cakes and coleslaw. There were girls' socks on the floor by the beds, and burnt food inside the oven. The bathroom cupboard was broken and hanging off. When I opened it, I jammed my finger, and there were men's boxers stuffed behind the pipes. There was pubic hair on the sink as well. The shower was so hot that we only figured out how to change the setting on the day we left, so we washed in 39C water for two days. When I filled a bottle from the tap because I was thirsty, the water looked dirty and wasn't clear. We left the bottle there, and when staff checked the room, they saw it too. We were given two dirty towels. I asked at the desk for replacements and was told someone would come, but nobody did. We went looking for the cleaners and found one after 15 minutes. He seemed like the only person willing to help. The hotel may look okay, but there were no manners, no information, and the room wasn't ready. I don't think the rooms were properly cleaned at all. It's wrong to make people wait three hours for cleaning and then still leave the room dirty.
