Findon Rest

Number 1 Findon Rest is cosy, with a very comfortable double bed, internet TV, hot drink-making facilities and a good walk-in shower. The location is quiet, and there’s a convenience store and Post Office, Dee Dee's Cafe, The Gun Inn and Tajdar Indian restaurant nearby.

For what we paid, we weren’t expecting a high-end hotel, but the room had a large, really comfortable bed, a bath and shower, tea and coffee, toiletries, an iron and ironing board, a small TV on a swivel mount and a little heater. Booking late was easy and the instructions were clear. We met a pleasant, friendly lady as we were leaving, who we assumed was the owner. We’d definitely visit again if we’re in the area. 👍

We booked three rooms for a family stay, and they’d all been decorated recently. They were just right for us. It’s a brilliant village-style place in a great location, and Clive the owner was really helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Findon village is lovely and peaceful, with quaint streets, a couple of pubs and good access to walks. We’d happily stay again for a night or two, though we’d want somewhere bigger for a longer visit. It’s a great place for the price. Our last-minute booking went smoothly. We got an email with the key passcode and checkout details, and the room was very clean when we arrived. There was roadside parking outside. The room is compact, but the owners have used the space thoughtfully: mirrors in both the bedroom and bathroom, plenty of sockets for phones and gadgets, and tea, coffee and miniature shower gels provided. The shower wasn’t great, but there was a bath and lots of hot water. The little heater made the room cosy, the bed was very comfortable, and the linen was extremely clean with plenty of pillows. Phone reception was fine. Checkout is at 10 am.
