Parking took a bit of effort on a sunny day, but we did find a space. Check-in and checkout were easy, the shower was great, and the bathroom products were good. The room was lovely, with everything you could need. The food was exceptional, service was great and everyone was friendly. A wonderful hotel stay, highly recommend.

We went on Sunday 1/2/26 and thoroughly enjoyed the food at this great pub restaurant. The sharing Camembert was great, the roast chicken very good, and the bread and butter pudding absolutely delicious. The pub has a nice feel, lots of character and a great location.

My mum, sister and dog all enjoyed the visit. It's a dog-friendly pub with nice food, and they even have a dog menu, lol. Right up on top of the Downs, with a great view. The flint, castle-style building is interesting and has an interesting history. We didn't check out the hotel, so I can't comment on that.

We celebrated my dad's 70th birthday in the function room, and everything was astounding: the food, the service, the room, all of it. The staff worked hard, bringing drinks throughout the day and serving the food to almost 30 guests all together. I can't say a bad word. You made my dad's day extra special.

A huge thank you to the whole team who looked after us yesterday for my mother's celebration of life. The staff were attentive and wonderful, and the food was delicious. You helped us say goodbye to our mother in a way she would've enjoyed.
