The Windsor grounds are what I enjoyed most. The paths are lovely for a walk, and the landscape is very well kept. It’s a good place to relax and get some nature without giving up the convenience of staying at a hotel. Staff were welcoming at the entrance and attentive at breakfast. Everyone I met was professional and made an effort to keep the stay comfortable. The Victorian-style building and wide green spaces make the setting feel peaceful, well away from the city bustle. It’s one of the prettiest spots around for a quiet break or a weekend stroll.

My partner and I spent a week at the hotel, and the service from everyone was fantastic. We felt very welcome and well looked after. Breakfast was gorgeous, and dinner one evening was spectacular. The chef was lovely, and since we were the only people in the restaurant then, they played around with our ice cream dessert a little, adding bubblegum syrup. Such a fun treat. We’ll definitely come back.

The rooms have a TV, fridge and safe, and both the restaurant and its food are excellent. I didn’t try the bar, but the chef was happy to chat. The hotel costs less than many others, but the staff made the stay really pleasant. I’d happily recommend it. Thanks for a lovely visit, I’ll stay longer next time.

For a budget room, ours was surprisingly spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the air con kept things cool overnight. Check-in was easy, and all the staff were friendly. The location is handy, just a few minutes from the coastal promenade with plenty of parking. We were in town visiting friends for a night and would happily stay again.
