The room was a mess when we arrived, which was totally unacceptable. It stayed cold the whole time because the heater wasn’t powerful enough. Everything felt cold and damp, from the walls to the bedding and towels. We’d have been warmer in a caravan.

The room was clean, the bed really comfy, and staff were lovely. It’s a quiet little place with amenities nearby, and my 10-year-old was very pleased with the biscuits, ha. There was a small mix-up with our room, though, so it would have been five stars otherwise. We’d stay again.

I was disappointed with our three-night getaway. The place felt grubby enough that I nearly went home early on the second night, and I’m pretty sure I left the room cleaner than I found it. There was what looked like trimmed beard hair all around the bathroom sink, and even basic dusting hadn’t been done. The location felt very out of the way, and I don’t think the price was worth it. Premier Inn does it better.

The room was roomy, clean and comfortable.

The room was clean and had everything I needed. The village was nice, and I enjoyed the stay enough to extend it. I was there for five nights, though, and nobody brought fresh towels or topped up the toilet roll or toiletries. Self check-in was a bit of a pain at first. I couldn’t get through the first door with the code, though I figured it out eventually. I also had to help two other guests who couldn’t work out the main door.
