Rooms at the Huntsman Inn

The room was quiet, inexpensive, easy to reach from the car park, and the check-in instructions arrived that day and were clear. There was plenty of parking, and with the pub next door closed, we barely heard a thing. But room 3 is filthy. The shower is black with grime and the place is covered in cobwebs, including a thick webbed-over painting above the bed and huge strands zigzagging across the ceiling. This looks like months of neglect, not a bit of dust, and the shower grout needs proper mould treatment. It seems whoever cleans the room has a blind spot when it comes to the shower. It’s a shame because it could be a lovely little room, and it looks as if someone once tried hard to make it decent. Now it’s starting to fall apart. The operators are letting it down badly.
