The Huntsman Country Inn

The room was quiet, inexpensive, easy to reach from the car park, and the check-in instructions arrived that day and were clear. There was plenty of parking, and with the pub next door closed, we barely heard a thing. But room 3 is filthy. The shower is black with grime and the place is covered in cobwebs, including a thick webbed-over painting above the bed and huge strands zigzagging across the ceiling. This looks like months of neglect, not a bit of dust, and the shower grout needs proper mould treatment. It seems whoever cleans the room has a blind spot when it comes to the shower. It’s a shame because it could be a lovely little room, and it looks as if someone once tried hard to make it decent. Now it’s starting to fall apart. The operators are letting it down badly. If you know, you know.
