The pub itself is lovely, and the people running it are really friendly and welcoming to dogs. We had a very nice meal, but at dinner on New Year's Day the menu was limited. We’d enjoyed steak there last year and were hoping to have it again, but it wasn’t available at dinner this time. I’d recommend the place, though if you want the full menu, go in the evening.

The restaurant serves tasty food and has a good choice of local and imported beers, and the whole place is pet friendly. Our room was spacious, with a really big toilet. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very strong inside the room, but worked just outside the door.

We stopped in for tea or coffee at 15:30 because we had a drive home and wanted something hot. The service was friendly, and the drinks were good quality and very reasonably priced. I don’t often go to a pub just for a hot drink, but I loved it and we’ll be back for the beer.

The menu has the pub classics you’d expect, plus a couple of more adventurous game and fish dishes. It’s a cosy pub with good food and friendly staff. The location means someone will need to drive, and there’s some traffic noise, but that shouldn’t put you off the good food and service.

A real old-fashioned small pub, with B/B available and food on offer. Some dishes have a country feel, like the game pie made with locally sourced meat. The husband and wife who run the place are friendly and welcoming.
