We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived, and this has been one of the loveliest, most welcoming B&Bs or hotels we’ve stayed in over the years in the UK. They upgraded our room without charge, and let us check in early, which was welcome after a long journey. The room was large, airy and spotless, with a good range of tea and coffee and plenty of milk. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the night was completely quiet. Thanks for making our little break so happy and restful. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Our room looked out over Pannett Park, which was lovely. The place is about a five to ten minute walk from town. The room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. We’d definitely recommend it and would stay again if we were in the area. Thank you!

Steve and Jo were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely, clean, warm room on the top floor, with a great view of the park opposite. We’d definitely stay at Broomfield House again.

The guest house overlooks the park, and there’s plenty of free parking around the corner beside it. It’s only a four-minute stroll to the centre, so the location is perfect. Our room was lovely, clean and plenty big enough, with lots of choice of tea and coffee and a small fridge, which is an excellent idea. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shower was lovely, with a huge head. We’ll definitely return.

We had a lovely, large front room with a super king size bed and a comfortable big sofa. The bathroom was gorgeous, mixing modern and Victorian style, and there was a TV and Google nest mini as well. The house is on a busy main road and up a hill, though we couldn’t hear traffic at night. There’s no parking nearby, so we used the harbour carpark, about a ten-minute walk away. It cost £11.50 for 24 hours.
