I emailed to ask about booking for my fifth wedding anniversary and got a curt reply: “Please stop sending me emails.” Why provide an email address for bookings if that's the response? Avoid at all costs!

The location is handy for exploring the Wales and Shropshire border, with places like Ellesmere, Wrexham, Oswestry and Llangollen nearby, along with plenty of other towns, villages and lovely walks. We have a seasonal pitch here, and after viewing several sites, this was easily the best for facilities, grounds, pitches and cost. The landscaping is lovely, with a few small fishing ponds. Pitches are spacious and have EHU and grey waste. The toilet and shower block was very clean, and there's a laundrette and information room too. The pub on site is currently open Fridays and Saturdays for drinks only. It has a great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly.

We just got back from two nights in one of the dog-friendly barn conversion holiday lets. It was beautiful, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. They even left a little basket of bread, jam and biscuits. 10/10.

We had a lovely two-night stay in one of the lodges and couldn't fault it. The kitchen was well equipped, and the welcome hamper had all the essentials. The bed was comfy, the place was clean and comfortable, and those reclining sofas were the most comfortable! The shower was out of this world. We'll definitely come back.

Gary, the owner, was lovely and helpful without ever being intrusive. Our holiday lodge was super clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, plus more. We also enjoyed tasty food at the on-site pub/restaurant, with reasonable prices. Highly recommended 👌 👍
