The mixed grill was fantastic, and the staff were lovely with us and our dogs. They brought the dogs trays and water and gave them a friendly greeting. The food was amazing for a decent price, though the side of chips felt a little steep. We'll certainly return!

We left hungry after a really disappointing meal, and I woke up the next morning feeling sick and running to the toilet for most of the day. The portions were tiny for the price, and the food wasn’t cooked properly. Our fish and chips arrived with frozen chips, disgusting fish, and sides that were no good either. We were offered two free mains, so we ordered mac and cheese and a medium rare steak. The steak took 40/50 minutes, and I was in a rush to get home. When it came, it was rare and not properly cooked. The person eating it refused it, and we asked for the manager because we were very disappointed. She said, “they just want free food”. We were willing to pay for the other food, but not the steak or fish and chips, which hadn’t been cooked at all. The manager was rude and forced us to pay for the fish and chips, then said we were ‘causing a scene’ when we only wanted to pay for the food that was actually cooked properly. As we left, she smiled and made comments like “bye bye”, “don’t come back” and “hope you enjoyed your food”. The waitresses were absolutely lovely and deserve a better place to work. The chefs weren’t even chefs, they were teenagers who seemed unable to cook. The manager and chefs need to be sacked. I wouldn’t recommend the place at all unless you just want a few drinks. No words for how bad it was. Don’t go unless you want to leave feeling sick to your stomach or with salmonella!

There were four of us for Mothering Sunday, and we all chose the carvery. It came out hot and quickly, with a good choice of veg, and the service was excellent considering how many people were eating at once. The sweets let it down a little: we had Eaton mess and ice cream, and the cheesecake had all gone. All the mums got a 5 pound voucher. I can't wait to go back and spend mine!.

The food was good when we went for a New Year’s Eve meal, but what a shambles. With two people behind the bar and one serving, they needed more staff on what was going to be the busiest night. Management had printed New Year’s Eve menus saying happy hour ran from 7 - 9. When we asked about it, they said they hadn’t had time to put it on the till. Management needs to get organised, because the staff were taking grief for something management should have sorted.
