The Vaults

It was so quiet and peaceful, and I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in years. Breakfast was excellent, and from the start I felt welcome. The gentleman who greeted me was one of the nicest and most helpful chaps I’ve met. It felt like staying with family.

There’s plenty of comfortable seating and tables, and it’s clean, bright and welcoming inside. This little village pub and bar has a great range of draught beers, plus several guest stouts, ales and beers. They show sports, including football, on a couple of large-screen TVs. There’s off-road street parking close by.

A really friendly atmosphere, with live music on weekends and well-mannered staff. It’s very clean, has three televisions showing all sports, and there’s a beautiful B&B upstairs. The cask selection is good, and bar snacks include paninis, toasties and fresh sandwiches. Highly recommended.

The entertainment was a nice extra, and there were plenty of good real ales to try. I went to this pub twice last night, so waking up with a hangover this morning probably isn't a mystery. Still, no complaints, it's a good pub.
