The Old Mill Rooms

The room and bathroom were immaculate, and collecting and returning the key was easy and convenient. We stayed here after a night out with friends in Uarm. The room was lovely and the setting beautiful, in a really nice, quiet spot. There was a hot tub at the end of the block and it was easy to get to, but I decided not to use it because it was too cold. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to friends and family.

Only certain rooms come with a hot tub, so check before booking. We were in the Barn Room, which looked good, but it had flickering lights and a broken TV remote. We were told to keep the faulty lights switched off, and Netflix wouldn’t work on the TV. Although the room is advertised for up to four people, I think it’s really only big enough for two. Housekeeping was inconsistent: you need to spell out what you want done, and they didn’t remake the beds. There’s potential here, but poor upkeep and service let it down.

The location was quiet and relaxed, and all the staff were helpful and made us feel welcome. I spent the weekend here with friends for my birthday. The rooms were clean, and I’d definitely stay again.

The apartments were clean and I liked the location and surrounding area, but the lack of soundproofing made the stay terrible. I could hear the neighbours burping, sneezing, whispering, singing, and going about their private business, which I didn’t want to hear. I could also hear the cat in the morning and every movement in the nearby apartments and above us. I wanted to sleep, but was awake until 2am.
