We only stayed one night in November, but really liked the feel of the place. The hosts were so friendly and helped with whatever we needed. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the whole inn was spotless. We had tea and coffee in the pub, and they even brought us complimentary cake.

Kirstie was so welcoming and helped us with directions. We had a lovely stay in this cosy place, and the breakfast was delicious, with generous portions and loads of choice. Thank you to such lovely people.

My friends were left waiting more than two hours to check in because the whole place was closed up and nobody was around. When someone finally arrived, they didn't even get an apology. The room was damp-smelling, dusty everywhere, with a leaking shower and broken table and lamps. There was no fire extinguisher either. The only reason it's getting two stars is that the bar food was great. Shame about the rest.

We found it quiet and cosy, a nice place to relax on the way to Bath. The rooms are kept in good condition, and the staff were helpful and well behaved. It felt safe for our family, and there was designated parking.

Our twin room was comfortable and clean, tucked away off the courtyard behind the pub. The building has loads of character, and we enjoyed the bar and its log fire on a cold weekend. The food was cooked to order and very nice, and our host was friendly and helpful. The pub is still being refurbished, so a few things aren't finished, but we had a really good stay and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere beautiful in the area. We'd certainly stay at the Crown again.
