I booked this in December 2021 for December 2022, then emailed to ask where we should collect the keys. Instead, I got a phone call saying we couldn’t go because they’d double booked. They said someone else had taken over and hadn’t known about my booking, even though they’d taken the booking money the week before. It sounds to me like someone else paid more than I did. Great service, not. They said they’d find an alternative, but when you’ve been looking forward to something for so long, having it spoiled is awful. The apartment may be nice, but the service from Merchant Place was appalling. Call before you book. They really don’t care.

There’s a lovely little balcony to sit on, and the two-bedroom apartment is a good size. It’s well placed for the main museums, the Shambles, bars and restaurants.

Top marks, this place is a must. The location was amazing, you won’t find better. There were a couple of issues, but so be it.
