Priory Street Apartment 4

There was a broad mix of ways to volunteer, from working with older people to conservation, tree planting and historic buildings, including York Minster. Mental health groups and IDAS were among the opportunities too, so there was something for everyone. I came away uplifted, with a heartening clutch of new ways to pay it forward. I was there for the volunteering fair. It was well signposted, with a one-way route through several rooms, and pleasant, welcoming staff to guide visitors. There were loos.

The Alistair Griffin Christmas show worked really well in this venue, with atmospheric acoustics.

I went to a conference here with around 50 people, and the venue was well suited to it. It was easy to find, clean and quiet, with good ventilation and acoustics. The food was very brown and oddly meaty for the conference topic. I don’t know who supplied it.

Our choir uses this as its regular rehearsal spot. It’s a nice, very clean space, though parking for bikes and cars is limited. At least part of the bike parking is nearly completely dark.
