There was on-site parking, and the en suite was a good size. My double room was large and cosy, with two armchairs, and the mattress was really comfortable. The room stayed lovely and warm, with excellent heating. Highly recommend.

The owners are very friendly, and there were plenty of tea and coffee supplies. Our rooms were clean and warm, with comfortable beds. I was disappointed that there was hardly anywhere nearby to eat. Worst of all, there's no breakfast, so you have to drive somewhere to get one.

Everything was easy, from check-in to check-out, and the room and bathroom were clean, a reasonable size, and had what we needed while away. The motel was handy for our weekend fishing nearby. It's right in the village behind a pub, opposite the chippy, with another pub and the village shop just round the corner. Perfect. We'll be back.

The beds were very comfy and we slept really well. The room was lovely, spotless and had everything you might need or forget. We picked up the keys before it was ready and went into York for the Xmas market. When we got back around half 9, the light was on and the heating was already on, so it was lovely to return to. The host was faultless and breakfast was excellent. Three of us took the bus into York for just over £6, and it cost £20 to get back after the Christmas market, but the trip was worth it. We'd definitely recommend it and stay again.

Set in a nice, quiet village, the room was comfortable, very clean and had all we needed. Parking was easy and it was great value for money. We'd happily stay again and recommend it.
