Victoria Cloisters Apartments

The apartment was warm, clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. We got a cheerful welcome at the hotel reception when we picked up the keys. Great location. I’d stay again 😃

We’d come back, since the apartment was clean, nicely equipped with a kitchen, iron and hairdryer, and had safe parking in a great spot near the centre. In apartment 14, though, the toilet seat was clearly too big, the sink kept dripping and wouldn’t drain properly, and the bathroom got steamy fast because the extractor fan wasn’t working well. These seem fixable, and shouldn’t outweigh the good points, but they need sorting when guests report them.

The flat was quiet, with only a little street noise, and it was clean and well equipped. It was easy to find and fairly close to the station. The staff at Queens hotel were lovely, friendly and helpful. We’ll use it again if we make it back to York.

The WiFi wasn’t great, but the location made up for it and I’d still give it five stars. We stayed four nights and could walk into the city centre easily. Parking was a bonus, though our small car fit fine and a larger one might find it tight. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and clean and tidy when we arrived. Had a great stay, and we’ll be back next year.
