Bougainvillea Apartments

The gardens and terraces were spotless, and the apartment itself was incredibly clean. Every room had air conditioning and ceiling fans, which made it comfortable. We were only a five-minute walk from local beaches, and the supermarket was even closer. The manager, or owner, thought ahead and arranged a taxi for a full day touring the island. The staff were as friendly and attentive as anyone could be. Even the little bottle of dish soap in the kitchen was a thoughtful touch that made cleaning up after breakfast and coffee easy. Excellent!

I came back to Grenada in 2022 and chose Bougainvillea again for my holiday, which says a lot about the place. My first stay was in 2020, when I spent about two weeks there during quarantine. I picked it mostly because it was affordable, at $50US a night, but the apartment went well beyond what I expected. It had two air-conditioned bedrooms, plus a large living room and kitchen with air conditioning, and a cute balcony where I could watch the free folk. Everything was freshly painted, clearly renovated and spotless. The apartments were comfortable, the views were lovely, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The service during quarantine was impeccable. I can't recommend them enough.

Everything you need is close by: the beach is just up the block, with a supermarket and bank on the corner, two places to eat across the street, and a fruit stand midway down the block. Shannon in the office was always a big help, and the taxi service they work with was outstanding. Our third-floor place meant climbing a spiral staircase, so I wouldn't recommend tackling it after too much to drink. It's not a luxury spot, but it suited our family of five well. We wanted a full kitchen for breakfasts at home and a few dinners, and although it was small, it did the job. We had a great time and would stay again.

A quiet, tucked-away place for visitors, with a beach, bar and restaurants nearby. The apartments are simple but kept up well, and all the utilities are provided. Staff are available to help whenever you need it. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained.
