Jenny's Place gave me the rest and relaxation I’d come back for from Canada as a Grenadian, travelling with a friend. We stayed seven days in October 2016 in the Hibiscus room. It had high ceilings, two queen beds, air conditioning and a fan, and both worked. The small fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker were all working too. There weren’t many utensils, but we had enough. The veranda overlooking the sea was lovely for watching the amazing sunsets, and the beach and bus stops were close by. There’s also a seaside restaurant with a range of dishes. It was a great holiday, and I hope to bring my whole family next year.

Jenny and the staff were a big help, especially over Christmas when lots of places were closing for the holidays. The spot is right on Grand Anse beach, at its very northern tip, and at high tide the waves lap right up to the attached restaurant. The Grenadian people were friendly and welcoming, and the cheap bus system was easy to use for getting around.

Jenny's Place is still the best place I’ve ever slept, and the finest gem on Grand Anse Beach. My wife and I came from Carriacou twice just to visit, and we also brought my parents-in-law when they came from Sweden. We went every time with our two small children, and nobody had any complaints about that. The rooms were beautiful on all five of my stays in 2010-11. I loved the high ceilings, which the online photos don’t show, and the porch leading onto grass, then a big tentlike pavillion, with the beachside restaurant and bar just two or three steps above the sand. The food and service were excellent. Even the simple, elegant breakfast in the garden, overlooking the sea, was memorable. The sunsets called for plenty of cool drinks, though there are a couple of spots farther down the beach if you want to watch the sun all the way down. Jenny's is where you find rest. It’s the main reason I’d like to revisit Grenada, and it set a new standard for my dream bedroom, home and garden.
