Maca Bana Luxury Boutique Resort

Tanisha at the front desk was a big help. Vaughn and his brother, the taxi and tour guys, showed us around the island and gave us 5 star service. If you’re in Grenada, ask for them.👌🏾

We stayed in the Mango villa and loved this beautiful boutique hotel. The grounds and views were lovely, the villa was comfortable, and the amenities, restaurant, beach, and location were all great. Joanne took great care of us and was excellent to work with. We’d absolutely stay again. We didn’t rent a car. Instead, we hired a driver the hotel recommended. He was friendly, easy to reach, and always on time, and took us wherever we wanted to go. It was very convenient to add his charges to our hotel bill. There are lots of hills and stairs. They weren’t an issue for us, but could be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

A guest was violated during her stay and then blamed by the owner, Uli. I don’t consider this hotel a safe place. Stay safe out there.

We spent a delightful week with two other couples in the three-bedroom Coconut Villa at Maca Bana. It was spacious enough for all six of us, with a fully equipped kitchen and a big deck where we could relax in the private hot tub and take in Magazine Beach and the coastline. The resort sits on a hillside above Magazine Beach, which is beautiful and less crowded than most. A short walk through Maca Bana's lovely gardens brought us to the sand, where we enjoyed island cocktails and swam and snorkeled in clear blue water with plenty of privacy. The resort has intimate villas, and the Aquarium restaurant is only a few steps from the beach, with lots of delicious food and island themed cocktails. Our villa was clean, modern, well equipped, and the largest of the villas. The property itself is breathtaking, combining natural beauty with a luxurious feel at an incredible value. Joanne, the property manager, deserves special mention for her attentive service. She recommended restaurants, arranged grocery deliveries, found us a driver for getting around the island, and was available on short notice. Ask for Chris for a memorable experience. Joanne’s gracious hospitality was one of the highlights of our vacation. Maca Bana offers a luxurious, peaceful escape with beautiful beachfront accommodation and attentive staff. Whether you’re after a romantic getaway or a tranquil retreat, it won’t disappoint.
