The location made this such an easy family stay. The Siesta is across the road from Spiceland Mall, Real Value IGA grocery store, Umbrella's restaurant, Cummin Up BBQ, Grand Anse Beach, an ATM, and KFC. There’s also a new Roti restaurant up the street. It’s quiet at night but close to everything, about 8min from the airport and 14min from the Osprey Ferry port. Since the hotel doesn’t serve alcohol, it felt very family friendly. My daughter and I stayed in the hilltop suites, which are a good fit if you don’t mind walking up hills. Deon and Bayan answered my questions by email, and Miss. Deon was especially kind and resourceful. Try the cocoa tea and passion fruit juice. Miss. Deon even explained how to make the cocoa tea. I’d call it the best stay ever, though I took off a star because housekeeping didn’t change our towels daily. That was minor compared with the rest of the trip.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and my room was very clean. The hotel grounds had lovely flowers, and the area felt safe. Restaurants, the grocery store, and the beach are all under a 10 minute walk. I’d choose this hotel and area over other parts of the island.

The view was great, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and floors were clean. Restaurants and the beach were walkable too. But this room is definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues. You have to climb two hills, the last one very steep, plus flights of steps to reach the floors. If you’re fit and have no injuries or mobility problems, it’s doable. They should put a large, clearly visible ⛔️♿️❌️ disclaimer on the main booking pages. The safe door had no lock. Only one side of the double sliding door locked, and the curtains were very stained.

The view from the hilltop tree ocean view suite was amazing, and the bed was good. Breakfast was good too, cleanliness was okay, and the staff were lovely. Management handled our complaint so well and compensated us. Even with the problems, we’ll still come back. Nothing beats the view and service, and I think most of the little issues could be fixed or worked around. Privacy was another issue. People walking past could see into the room, and the bathroom windows face the walkway. Blinds would solve it. There was no hair dryer in the room, so we had to ask at the front desk and pick one up down the steep hill at night. It had a EU plug, and the adapter they supplied wasn’t suitable. We let our hair air dry and maybe they should just get a new dryer. There were no basic amenities, not even hand soap, so bring your own. We didn’t mind, but the two large bath towels were stained and there was only one hand towel. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything. Our neighbours had visitors from outside the hotel and partied from 1030pm until 1230am, with loud music, chair scraping, and laughter. Staff asked security to get them to quiet down. The service was good, but the rooms affected our stay, and it seems other guests complained too. The hill is STEEP, VERY steep, though it could be a good workout for youngsters.

The staff were patient and helpful, and you can get assistance carrying luggage up and down the hill. The pool towel supply was sometimes short, but they worked hard to sort it out. Hot water seemed less hot in the morning, perhaps because of demand, though I didn’t find out why. For the price, location, and views, Siesta is good value. Spiceland Mall is about an 8-10 minute walk, with a great food court and supermarket that sells hot food. There are good restaurants up the road, and we especially liked the roti shop. The hotel is well placed for Grand Anse and Morne Rouge beaches. Morne Rouge is around a 20 minute walk, and Grand Anse maybe 15 minutes. We reached Grand Anse by the side road near Umbrella's, cutting through the mall car park. Breakfast was amazing, so try the cocoa tea and a traditional Grenadian breakfast plate. It was quiet by the pool and at night, and I didn’t see any kids during my two days there. The clientele seemed older. My one bed apartment needed some TLC, with chipped paint, faded furniture, and no outlets near the bed. The bathroom was nice, with an overhead rain shower, though my mum’s hotel room didn’t have one, so rooms seem to vary. I dropped a star because a few quick fixes could have freshened up the room. Honestly, I think the one bed apartment should have a TV in the living room. The hillside apartments are up a very steep hill, though my brother loved his view. The in-room safes need a lock and key from reception, and there didn’t seem to be many available.
