Greg and Kate set the bar so high that we kept comparing every other stop on our Georgia trip to them. They were wonderful hosts, and the homemade wine was incredible. The Georgian food was an unforgettable experience and very affordable, too. I only wish we could’ve taken some wine home!

Dinner was the standout for me: delicious local dishes, with the kind of authentic flavors and hospitality that made it feel like an experience in itself. The food here was among the best I’ve tried in the Racha region. At View Racha in Ambrolauri, Grigol and Keti made us feel at home right away, and the cozy guesthouse had a really pleasant atmosphere. They went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. For comfort, good company, and Georgian food while visiting Ambrolauri, I’d highly recommend Guesthouse View Racha.

The views are fantastic, and it’s close to the center. The place is clean enough to make even a five-star hotel jealous, and the hosts are wonderful. Thanks for the warm welcome. If you like home cooking, make sure to try Mrs Katie’s food.

We were sorry to leave View Racha after just one night. Before dinner, we played a few games on the terrace dartboard, then had a fantastic meal there. We’d asked for food at short notice, but Kate still made one of the best meals of our trip, preparing everything fresh from scratch. Breakfast was just as good. Gregory even made an extra trip to buy beer after he noticed his supply was running low. The comfortable, relaxing accommodation had a lovely front patio and terrace where we could take in the incredible view over Ambrolauri. It was a great night’s stop on our drive from Mestia to Tbilisi via the Zagari pass and Racha.
