Chalet in Bakuriani

The owners are kind, lovely people, but I don't think the place is worth what it costs. When it was -8°C outside, they turned off the heating at night. Sleeping that way was extremely unpleasant. They did give us two blankets, one for me and one for my wife, and we slept under both in light clothes. There are other comfort and maintenance problems. The toilet tank wouldn't refill unless you opened it and adjusted the float by hand. You can't lock the room door from the inside: there's a key, but the lock doesn't work. I wasn't afraid of theft, but it felt uncomfortable not being able to secure the door properly. A few times I thought someone was opening my door, but it was the neighboring door. The soundproofing is so poor that it seemed like my door. I was on the second floor, and conversations in the first-floor common area sounded like they were happening right outside my room. Background noise usually doesn't bother me, but guests chatting late at night would keep you awake if it does bother you. As tourists and renters, we should leave reviews and avoid places like this so owners reconsider and make the accommodation more comfortable for guests.

The room was old and dirty, and the bed smelled bad and was uncomfortable. Honestly, sleeping on the floor would've been better. The room lock was broken, and they refused to fix it. Terrible value for money. Stay away!
