The rooftop terraces were great for unwinding in the evening, and breakfast was good, with porridge and pancakes. The hotel is well located, about a 7-8 minute walk without an uphill stretch. Natalia, the host, was friendly and responsive. Alexander, the owner, treated us terribly. On day three he rudely started demanding payment for our stay, though nobody had told us anything about checking in, and he seemed to think we'd pay sometime during the vacation if we got the chance. Money wasn't the issue, the service was. After breakfast he'd watch from around a corner to make sure nobody had taken anything from the room. He also came in without permission to turn off the air conditioning so he wouldn't pay too much, and refused to deal with room problems, giving reasons we couldn't see. A four-bed room is fine, but the two-bed room was a disaster, with almost no storage. Its translucent door let you see and hear everyone passing at night. The shower and toilet weren't separated, and the shower was basically a hole in the floor.

The hosts were friendly and ready to help with anything. We liked the tasty breakfasts, and the courtyard has tables and looks lovely. There are also rooftop lounges for sunbathing or having a glass of wine in the evening, with sea views. Bikes are available to rent. The sea, shops, and currency exchange offices are all close by. Batumi is about a 10-15-minute minibus ride away. The Turkish border is very near, about a 10-minute drive, and you can cross into Turkey.

The hosts were wonderful and the staff incredibly helpful. We had a great vacation in a clean, cozy, quiet place, with the sea and entertainment close by. Thanks for everything, we'll definitely be back!

A great choice if you want a peaceful, relaxing break. It's close to the sea, but away from the road noise, and the location is excellent.
