Batumi City Aparthotel

I've returned to Orbi Batumi in different seasons and have been happy with the service and surroundings each time. It's comfortable for work trips or holidays, and I liked it enough to recommend it to friends. The apartment is clean and cared for, close to the sea, and reasonably priced. Check-in was on time and trouble-free. Restaurants, attractions, an aqua park, and the boulevard are nearby. I took all the photos myself. 😊

We had to find somewhere else at the last minute after I refused to go along with what happened. It was incredibly stressful and could have been avoided if the host had shown even a little decency. The price was raised on check-in day, despite my confirmed reservation. I was ready to check in, then was told the rate had mysteriously changed. There was no warning or apology. It felt like an opportunistic scam tactic. The booking platform enabled this, letting the host make last-minute changes without accountability. I've traveled a lot, and this was easily my most unprofessional and shameless experience. It left me feeling blindsided, disrespected, and treated like a fool. Avoid this place and host. You deserve better, and booking here could leave you scrambling for another place.

The rooms are good and the beach is very close, but the lifts need fixing. We waited as long as 40 minutes, and once had to walk down from the 21st floor to the first. The reception gets very crowded around check-in and checkout. I expected cleaning service, but reception said they couldn't provide it because too many guests had requested it, and that we're in an apartment rented by a private owner. The massage service advertised on the floor wasn't available either. The conditions are normal for a mid-budget vacation. At night, though, noise from the nearby nightclub was very disturbing.

The apartment was dirty, the lamp was broken, and it didn't look like the pictures. Water spread all over the bathroom while we showered, and the bedsheets were much too small for the bed. It wasn't luxurious at all, despite how it was advertised. I'll never go back; it was a bad experience. There was no parking, and the area was very busy. Check-in was confusing: we had to go to another building, up to the 10th floor, where the receptionist gave us no useful information. We were told our room was in another tower and had to carry our luggage there on foot, and it wasn't very close. Staff at the first-floor reception gave a different route, so they didn't seem to know what they were doing. For some reason, Booking posted a review on its own or something happened, and this really bad place got rated excellent. I'm posting my review here.
