Best Western Plus Batumi

Bolt taxis are fairly cheap in Batumi, which made the hotel's less-than-great location manageable. The food was relatively okay, but the rest of our stay at Best Western Plus Batumi in August 2025 was stressful. We booked the Junior Suite because BestWestern.com listed it for 2 adults and 2 children. At the hotel, staff said it was only meant for 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant in a crib. Housekeeping then left us with just 3 towels for 4 people each day, so we had to ask for another one over and over. Staff didn’t make us feel welcome. They kept saying they would bring an extra mattress, but nothing happened, and it felt like promises were being used to put us off. For most of the week, one of the two elevators was out of service, and it kept being a different elevator each time. Later I saw that Booking.com warns families this room type may not suit 2 older children, while Best Western’s own site had no such warning. The mismatch left us with a room that didn’t fit our family and caused unnecessary vacation stress. Best Western should fix the occupancy information on its official site, keep the facilities working, and make sure staff treat guests honestly and respectfully.

The hotel was clean, but hallway noise came through easily, including under the door. In my room, the gap at the bottom was so large that you could see people’s feet passing by, and someone might even put their head there and look inside. That felt like a serious privacy concern. I can’t say if every room is like that. The shower had no door, so water spread all over the bathroom. The elevators were slow too, and people got frustrated enough to take the stairs. You could do worse than this place, but the noise and the big door gap might make some people choose elsewhere.

The room was clean and the hotel is nicely located. There’s only one lift, so there can be a wait at busy times, and the service could be better.
