At breakfast, staff showed anger over how much food guests put on their plates. That felt like a very low-class attitude. We also found the staff poorly trained in how to speak politely to frustrated guests. The bathroom water smelled strongly of sewage, and management took two days to contact the water authorities and identify and fix it. The clean water pipe had broken, letting it mix with sewage. We changed hotels and lost part of what we had paid in advance. A bad experience.

The room faced the street on the fifth floor, so all night there were horns and moving truck noises. The elevator was loud too, and you could hear it in every room. The shower leaked until the whole bathroom floor was covered with water. Our room was filthy when we arrived, and we were given just one towel. There are no bedside lights or switches, so you have to get out of bed and cross the room to turn off the ceiling light. The staff are friendly, but they don't speak any language besides Georgian. Good luck to anyone who risks checking in at city star hotel in batumi georgia.

We left and found somewhere better and cheaper just around the corner. The hotel is pricey for what it offers, and the breakfast is awful. Thereโs no wi-fi except at reception. The place is dark, the doors are broken, and the toilet smells of sewage. You can hear both the elevator and outside noise in your room. Don't book unless they make improvements.
